Jimmy Joins Genie For Pantomime Fun
South Wales Guardian
November 23, 2011

POP legend Jimmy Osmond will be taking the lead of Aladdin when the seasonal spectacular appears in Swansea Grand Theatre this winter.

The youngest of the world-famous Osmond dynasty, Jimmy was seen on the ITV series Popstar to Operastar. He made his debut in London’s West End in Grease and then went on to star as Billy Flynn in the UK National tour of the smash-hit musical Chicago.

As well as his appearance on I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of Here!, Jimmy has appeared on numerous UK television shows including Celebrity Come Dine With Me, All Star Family Fortunes and Saturday Kitchen. On top of the many world tours and records he has made with his siblings, Jimmy has six gold records to his credit and was the youngest ever solo chart-topper with his hit, Long-Haired Lover From Liverpool, which he recorded when he was nine in 1972!

The cast will share the stage alongside a very special and unusual co-star as the genie of the lamp comes to life in amazing 3D! Wearing 3D glasses at certain points throughout the show the audience can rub the magic lamp as it appears in front of their nose, summon the magical genie from his lamp and join Aladdin on a superb magic carpet ride!

Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, will open Aladdin at the Grand Theatre on Friday December 16 and will run until Sunday January 15.

Tickets can be booked on 01792 475715. For full ticketing information, go to www.swanseagrand.co.uk.
